Project title:
FSM (Seat Monitoring System) ==> is a seat monitoring solution for Mercedes‑Benz vans, consisting of two product variants:
MFSM (Master FSM) as the central control unit, and SFSM (Sensor FSM) as the seat‑level sensing unit.
Description:
- Vehicle Measurements:
- Create together with the global team a detailed test strategy and test plan for further changes of system and future releases.
- Measurement of timings for different slave modules using oscilloscope and Spectrum analyzer in LF and RF frequency range
- Validation of robust vehicle system behaviour by executing sequences of measurements including moving of seats changing configurations (plugged, unplugged, buckled, seated etc.). “Hands on” required for vehicle measurements.
- Analysis of system failures in special vehicles. Discussion in the global team the results and the further approach.
- SFSM:
- Analyse the NVM writing issue together with the SW-Team and conclude possible solutions taking the requirements into account.
- Measure the current consumption profiles during vehicle analysis with an oscilloscope
- Measurement of RF parameters using a Spectrum analyzer
- Measurement of LF parameters such as LF-sensitivity using an arbitrary generator
- MFSM:
- Recreation of interference of front and back during LF operation antenna on bench level setup.
- Tracing of received LF-data and received EDS communication"
Tasks:
- Execute vehicle and bench‑level measurements for FSM (LF/RF timing, interference, current consumption).
- Validate system behavior under different seat and vehicle configurations.
- Analyze FSM system issues (SFSM/MFSM) and align findings with the global and software teams.
- Perform RF, LF, and robustness measurements using oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and signal generator.
Required Profile:
- Hands‑on experience in automotive LF/RF measurements and vehicle testing.
- Strong measurement and analysis skills (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer).
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a global team.
Purpose
- Offload stable FSM activities to ensure continued quality, while internal resources focus on strategic and high‑complexity projects.
