The project provides external UX enablement support to two platform teams. The assignment focuses on establishing a sustainable user-centered approach by coaching teams and stakeholders, facilitating discovery and workshop formats (e.g User Feedback Sessions), and introducing pragmatic UX methods and routines. Key outcomes include clearer user and user-group understanding, documented needs and pain points, and a reusable set of templates/guidelines to integrate UX activities into the teams’ ongoing agile ways of working.

This request covers an external resource supporting two platform teams through a dedicated UX Enablement initiative. The role focuses on establishing user centric thinking and UX methods as a repeatable capability within the teams rather than delivering one time UX results. The engagement aims to identify users, understand their needs and pain points, and equip the platform teams with practical UX tools, methods, and routines to continuously apply UX in their day to day work. The role works closely with the Domain Lead, Product Owners, and platform teams and is executed as a project with a strong enablement and institutionalization focus.

The engagement is structured as an enablement and capability building project.

No UI design delivery, development, coding, or operational responsibility is included.

Anforderungen

  • Establish UX as a repeatable, sustainable capability within the platform teams.
  • Support the teams in developing a clear understanding of their users, user groups, and usage contexts.
  • Enable platform teams to autonomously apply UX methods on a regular basis beyond the duration of the project.
  • The engagement focuses on methodology, facilitation, coaching, and toolkit creation rather than one time UX deliverables.

Tasks & Deliverables

  • Identify and structure key user groups of the platform teams and document their contexts of use.
  • Facilitate discovery activities to uncover user needs, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support the teams in validating assumptions through lightweight UX research methods.
  • Design and facilitate UX workshops and working sessions with platform teams and Product Owners.
  • Introduce and apply pragmatic UX methods (e.g. personas, journey mapping, problem statements, usability feedback).
  • Develop a reusable UX toolkit for the platform teams, including templates, guidelines, and examples.
  • Define lightweight UX routines and trigger points for regular application within the teams.
  • Enable integration of UX activities into existing planning, refinement, and decision making processes.
  • Prepare documentation and enablement material to support long term adoption of UX practices.
  • Hand over knowledge, tools, and practices to ensure continued UX application after project completion.

  • Proven experience in UX, service design, or user centred design in digital or SaaS environments.
  • Strong experience in UX facilitation, coaching, and enablement rather than pure design delivery.
  • Ability to identify users, user needs, and pain points in complex product or platform contexts.
  • Experience designing and facilitating workshops and collaborative discovery sessions.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder facilitation skills.
  • Experience working with product teams, platform teams, or agile environments.

Should Have

  • Experience with platform, tooling, or developer facing products.
  • Ability to translate UX methods into pragmatic, lightweight approaches suitable for product teams.
  • Experience supporting cultural or behavioural change within teams.
  • Familiarity with agile product development and platform organisations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building UX playbooks, toolkits, or communities of practice.
  • Exposure to enterprise scale organisations or multi team environments.
